How we choose the products we feature

We start from a task, not a product

A product only gets researched when there is a clear job behind it: storing leftovers, carrying a laptop, lighting a desk. Starting from the task makes it easier to say when something is unnecessary.

If a job is already solved well by something most people own, we say so instead of publishing a page.

We read the specification, not the marketing

We note measurable details: dimensions, weight, materials, power, capacity, connector types, warranty length and what is included in the box. These are the details that decide whether something fits your shelf, bag or socket.

Anything we cannot verify from the manufacturer's own published information is left off the page.

What we never publish

No invented ratings, no copied customer reviews, no countdown timers, no discount claims and no testimonials. Prices and availability change constantly on Amazon, so we send you to the product page to see the current figure rather than quoting one here.

We also avoid outcome promises. A product can make a task easier; it cannot guarantee a result.

How the links work

Product pages link to Amazon using Amazon Associates links. If you buy something after following one, a commission may be earned at no extra cost to you. This never changes which products are featured or what is written about them.
